What's New in SolidWorks 2012:
- You are now able to pin documents to the recently used document fly out.
- You can now switch document units on the fly with the unit switcher located in the bottom right corner of the status bar.
- You can now choose faces to ignore in sheet metal flat patterns.
- Swept flanges can now be created in sheet metal and flattened.
- You can now start typing a command in the search palette, and it will start narrowing down the possibilities (ala the Windows 7 Start button).
- New equation dialogue; you can change solve order and categorize (and sort) equations
- Exploded views are now shown on the drawing palette, and there is now a right-click option to explode an existing view.
- BOM's can now be created without preselecting a view.
- Balloons can now be ordered numerically around a view.
- Magnet lines are now available to snap balloons too, like in 3DVIA Composer!
- Unused view labels (such as those from deleted views) are now automatically reused.

HOW TO INSTALL


0. Install pre-reqs from prereqs folder!
1. Install Solidworks from ..\swwi\data\swsetup.exe with serial 9916 0657 0219 4742 HKJH 5HKF.
It might talk about being superceded by sldIM. Ignore this.
Dismiss any prompts to add a license server.
2. Copy ibfs32.dll to windows\system32\
3. Import lz0-sw2012.reg to registry.
4. Copy sw2012.lic and lz-solidworks12x32.exe to C:\Program Files\Solidworks\
5. Run lz-solidworks12x32.exe (Run as admin required on Vista/win7)
6. If installed, copy and run if applicable any addon patchers files to appropriate dirs (eDrawings common files\edrawings2012 and swexplorer)
7. Enjoy!


Notes:
1. When installing COSMOSM, skip license setup - it will work with the reg/lic above
2. If having problems starting eDrawings after applying the patch, apply edrwfix.reg
3. If running the patcher with backups, delete or rename the .bak file from C:\Program Files\SolidWorks\photoview\extra (swkloader.lx.BAK)
